I'm very impressed with that torque number. That car probably moves pretty good for a bolt on car.

Wow, those are some STOUT SAE numbers from a bolt-on car, nevermind an untuned one. You will only see them go up with a tune, and they are already impressive. Congratulations.

Looks like you got one of the factory freaks there. I wouldn't get too excited about a tune making much more. Some tunes were greater than others from the factory.

i would not tune the car as it sits, i am guessing that by pure luck your mods have your a/f pretty good. infact, i think you might actually lose a few hp if you were to tune it properly just because it could be lean. we can take a look at it with hptuners this weekend if you want.

I have a friend who has a freak car like yours.
He had the slp flo-pac, lt's/duals dumped through
a 6 speed. He made repeatable numbers at the dyno days.

Then he put H/C on and made great power!
BTW it was a 98!

Tell us more about the heads/cam/clutch swap you're going to be doing. Specs, brands, models, etc...

If that setup puts down power that corresponds at all to your bolt-on numbers, you should be more than impressed with it. Keep in mind the rear and a driveshaft will rob you of some decent power, but they are necessary if you don't want to break everything.

Even after those, you should still be cranking out impressive h/c numbers for those parts. Keep us posted.
