every few weeks there is someone on here who thinks that a few LS6's slipped into fbodies, yet no one ever has pics or any type of proof. '01-'02 cars can have a LS6 block and intake manifold, but not the heads or cam. I have never seen anything to prove otherwise

How would that factory run out of 241 heads, when they still had the Corvette and 2004 GTO to be produced and still needed 241s for supporting service departments in the coming years (parts typically are phased out after 10 years of the end of production of the platform/vehicle it was used on). Complete BS! I have seens LS6 blocks in 2001-2002 F-bodies, but someone put 243s on their 2002 LS1 and successfully fooled some people.

My 01 had a LS6 block but 241 heads. Now its got a complete LS6. I guess I could just run outside snap a couple of pics and say I have a factory equipped F-Body with a LS6. Without documentation to prove it no one will believe it and it would be dishonest. I am pretty sure that Mr. Settlemire himself has said it never happened so that would be proof enough for me. Just my .02.

I probably could have done 380 with my bolt ons, I hit 360 and was still missing an underpulley, had heavier 17 inch ZR1's with 315 tires, the LS7 clutch (heavier), cats and mufflers.
Though if you compare how long it took to accelerate off my stock cam vs my 224 cam, you'd think it took forever to hit 6krpm with the stocker.
