Stock C6 LS2s dyno about 345-360 rwhp for manuals and 335-350 for A6s (the spread is due to dyno inconsistancies). They're also less than 3300lbs . Gonna be a close race. Driver will be the deciding factor in this one.

Sorry.. I just re-read your post. Spread is due to dyno inconistancy

Driver race for sure both have similer power but I think Zo6 weigh a little less.

It seems that the Z06's usually have a slight edge stock for stock due to the lack of torque management.. the C6's are definitely capped up from the factory a little more..

The key there is BONE STOCK. C6s have a very intrusive torque management system which slows the car down at the track and gives varying dyno numbers.

Pre-tune, the 01 Z06 wins... post-tune, it's a tie... maybe an edge to the C6.

I give the edge to the Z06 (depending on year), lighter and similar power typically, also based on track passes I've seen. With the mods your friend has, I'd say lights out to the bone stock C6 LS2 unless the guy outdrives the Z06 (obviously), or if you're mistaken and he actually has an LS3.

Just like I thought.

He'll rape that car once he ditches that weak stock cam.

Doh, I'm confused. Do you have the C5 or C6?

If the Z06 get's a H/C/I swap there is no way that C6 will touch him without the equivalent mods. Those LS6's are beastly w/ H/C setups. However, if the LS2 has H/C/I then it will definately be a much more competitive race.

I think those Z06's have 3.73's? That makes a huge difference with the higher HP setups. If the Z driver learns to hook good then it's a no contest. I seen stock C5 Z's go high 11's quite often w/ DR's.

MODS:
MTI CAI
J. Cohen Tuning
Ported Throttle Body
Ported LS2 Manifold

Dynoed at 382rwhp..

Not bad for everything else stock... Runs pretty strong..
