A 75 hp gain is a lot from a cam/intake/header swap. It will be interesting to see if you can back these numbers up on a different dyno. If you can, then you have found the magical combination of all your parts working together. In this case, the custom cam was a good route to take.

Here it is. There is also a print out of the numbers every 100 rpm upto 7k w/ afr. I gave up posting it for now. If I can figure out how to shrink it I will post it later.

As far as Pacesetters being better than FLP's I dont know.
Wow! I built this motor 2 years ago... Im glad to see its working out good for you. You bought this car from Kernersville, N.C. right?

I bought the car from 5ltrBetr. I believe he was in Kernersville, NC. It did not work out to long. Picked up on Monday from tuner and took to track on Tuesday and dropped oil pressure on 2nd pass. Limped home and found neat shiney stuff in the oil . Now in the process of pulling motor and starting over again.

its been through since I had it, and changed hands a couple of times. I had a texas giant cam in it when I had it. Shouldn't have sold it...but at the time I wanted to go turbo. So I sold the motor to him.

Did it just kill the bearings? or do you know yet?

nothing wrong with ported 241's. people underestimate them IMO. anything under 500 would be dissapointing. nice numbers though

got motor taken apart and found all mains were bad. Why, I dont know. Caps turning blue in some spots. The rods looked good. Some metal got into the bearings from mains going but not bad. Oil starvation, bad build, high miles, too many rpms?????? When I took it to the track I was spinning to 7000.

Did you ever find out what was wrong with it? When I went through the motor after buying it from 408z28, I replaced all the main bearings. I don't know why they would be worn that much. I am surprised to see 7000 though from a 408. Is it possible it's just too many rpm's for those cubes? I can see a 346 spinning that much. I hate that you had trouble with it.

Very nice graph shift123, I see you are in Indianapolis, what side of town? Is that a firebird or a camaro? I'll have to watch for you on the street, you'll own me 400 ft. lb's at 3K rpm lol nice.
