Default 2001 Z06....

Just dynoed the Z06 on an inground dynojet. We had a big dyno day over at Va Speed on Saturday and had a huge turnout!!! We had to of strapped over 30 cars on the dyno.... Although it felt like 50. Haha. Well anyways, I put the Z06 on the dyno and here are the results....

351rwhp/351rwtq!!!

We did two back to back runs within 1 min of each.... So, no cool down. First run was 349rwhp. We didnt even turn the car off, we just went right into the second run and actually gained power for the 351rwhp.

At first, I thought these numbers were alil high, but we had a C6 Z06 dyno at 443rwhp.... Stock. Which is right in line with all other stock Z06s.

Im very impressed with the results that it put down.... Stock. Especially considering its only rated at 385bhp. Well, I do have a Halltech Intake, but I think the gains are minimal at best. The A/Fs were in the low 12's, so I think with a tune, I can squeeze a few more out of it. These LSx motors never stop amazing me....

Sorry, no graph yet.... Maybe if Shawn sees this, he can scan it for me and post it....

Nice power. Do you plan on modding it?

340-350 is right in line with what the 01's make.

Do the bolt ons, put yourself a nice cam in there, and tune it. It'll be making what those C6 Z's make after that

Thanx man. Im not sure on what my plans are for it right now. I just bought the Halltech Intake to kinda clean up the engine bay up alil.

I used to own a 99 SS M6 Nitrous car that had a built driveline and it was a fun car.... But I love the reliability of this car in stock form. I also dont want to tear it up as it is a clean *** car.... Only 17k miles on it.

Thanx. The most I will probably do to it is some LG longtubes.... I probably wont go as far as a cam for this one.

The minimal gain you get from the catback is out matched by the weight savings you get from the titanium catback thats stock.... Only reason alot of guys do it is for the different sound. I love the way the titanium catback sounds at 6500rpms.

Very nice. Sounds like the exact car I raced the other night, only it was silver (2001 Z06 with air intake). Glad to know roughly what they make power-wise. Those things definitely move for the power.

You should at least get headers, ud pully, ewp and a tune. It will make the car sound better, give you more hp, and better gas mileage too. I could see you picking up 40 rwhp easy from the 4 items mentioned. Won't have to open the motor up at all. Everything would improve bro. I love the way Corvettes sound with a set of LG Motorsports headers. Just my 2 cents.

365rwhp out of a stock ls6 is very strong.... But you have the 405hp version. Mines only the 385hp.

Ill be getting headers in the near future, but not sure I want to go all the way with the ud pully and ewp. I have been looking into the LGs and Kooks for headers though.
