This leads me to believe you're getting an intake restriction. Could be the intake elbow. Not many people have performed well with them on single planes unless they're running forced induction or nitrous. It would be interesting to see how you'd run with an Accufab top-mount throttle body.
I have that TB coming. What about the cam being installed 2 degrees retard. how much would that hurt the power.

It won't hurt power so much, but it will bias the engine further to making peak power at a higher rpm.

The machine shop that did the engine installed the cam and the guy who degreed the cam appeared to be having some difficulty reading the cam card. He said that he had retarded the cam to get the proper timing, and we didn't think anything about it. But after looking at the cam card later on we was the it was ground within a degree of what it was supposed to be, meaning that it need to be installed straight up.

There have been a few road blocks. After the dyno session the cam has been straightened out, he has a different added a 4150 style TB, fixed some electrical issues and fixed some of the problems with the tuning (or tuner). Transmission have been the real issue from getting to the track, but that is also coming together. New stall will be in Tuesday, and might have some motor track times next weekend if the weather is good and maybe some 150 shot runs also if everything looks to be in order.

If nothing bad happens there then some 300 shot runs will soon follow.

All it would ever do was just surge on the dyno. He loaded about 3 different tunes with no noticeable difference. The the tranny started acting up (probably from the excessive heat off of the super lean engine) and puked fluid out the overflow. That was it for that day.

After getting HPtuners and comparing some VE tables from similar engines and some timing adjustments it cranks and runs better than ever. Once the transmission is back in we will get some more logs and better the tune. Then we will get some track times.

Tune is not an issue now. Besides didnt mayhem just tune a c6 with a blower and lT's and it is no longer running. Which is why I will take care of things myself.

A build like this (OLSD and nitrous) needs to be dialed in every so often, which would be too expensive and not as effective as doing the tuning ourselves whenever it needs it.
