02 LS1 vs TFS packaged 5.0 Foxbody How would a TFS packaged 5.0/5spd Fox Body with 3.55 gears and E.T streets run, compared to a Stock 02 LS1 with E.T streets? I've gotta a Buddy at work who is a die hard Mustang/Ford fan, who's friend, is going to be racing this car and thinks he is untouchable. Are Mustangs really that quick? I just wanna hear it from you guys. Dude thinks that all LS1's and LS6's are slow and says he has beaten them all.

A 5.0/5speed trickflow coupe on a tire will run high elevens with a good driver. A bone stock ls1 fbody on a tire will more than likely run mi-high 12s with a good driver. You make the outcome prediction.

Says it will or should run 12.5's with a 1.7 60ft. Wow, I know cars and I like fox body's but I wanna just laugh in his face sometimes. I think 02 LS1's with slicks should be good for 12.8s give or take a tenth. Mustangs and fast fords has done a few simple bolt fox body's and have cracked low 12's. Magazine cars of course. My buddy also says his friend is gonna run a 175 shot now and dip into the 10's on stock internals. WTF?

Short wheel base, manual transmissions and low weight makes them great performers. Not those engines. Stick a 5oh into a 3600lb car and watch what happens.
