93z
I just bought a 93Z and have a race with my best friends dad. I have known them for 25 years now and he has a 95Z.
He has run a best of 8.57 in the 1/8th with some minor bolt ons, DR's, shorty headers, stock convertor, mild head work, and a small cam (I think its a CC502 or 503).
Here is my setup.
Stock shortblock and heads right now.
I am putting on pacesetter LT's and ORY to a spintech catback.
Draglites with 275/60 DR's
No P/S, a/c, etc. Relocated alternator.
No power accessories (car is bare bones)
About 100 lbs of weight reduction mods
3.23 gears
3000 convertor
CAI
good tune
I am keeping a full interior like him minus the console, speakers and radio.
Wondering if I can hold my own with him until I can upgrade later.
Thanks

yea most def, i think the biggest part is him being on the stock stall, the stock stall will rocket you infront of him, and with shortie headers he isnt getting the most out of his cam HP wise so unless the cam has some mean top end i would say the race is all yours manie.
