Anyone Need an A4 Setup?
Anyone Need an A4 Setup? I am swapping a T56 into my car, so the A4 parts are up for grabs. This is all coming from a '95 Formula. I believe I can give you almost everything you need to convert to A4 except maybe the trans cooler and lines: console, shifter, cables, flexplate, pedal assembly, cross member and trans mount, hardware etc.
Two 4L60Es are included but BOTH are to be used as cores. One has been sitting outside for a while so there is rust on the steel input and output shafts. That one does not have a tail piece. The one that I just pulled from the car has a business sticker on it from a trans rebuilding company in Arizona somewhere. I believe it gives a website of "panddtransmission.com" but I just Googled that and did not find a match. I can take a pic of the sticker, but it is small writing and somewhat worn. Anyway, the guy I got it from claimed it was a performance rebuild. You can't believe much of what people tell you, so who knows? Maybe it is beefed up inside with good parts, maybe it is just a stock unit, I don't know.
Two transmissions (that need to be rebuilt) and all the associated A4 parts that I pulled from my car for $400 obo.
If it helps, both of the transmissions had the same problem, which is that they would not shift out of 2nd. 3-4 clutch packs is what people kept telling me the problem was, but I have no clue since they are a mystery to me.
