Custom Turbo Headers
These headers started life as a set of Dougs 98-99 Camaro/ Firebird LS1 headers: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DOU-D3327-R
All the emissions provisions (egr) were removed and welded flush. The flanges were removed, and the collectors were cut back to have a 2.5" outlet. A set of stainless Vibrant v-band flanges were professionally tig welded on. Included is the oposite side of the v-band for fabrication of the turbo cross-over.
The same method that applies to all LSX manifolds for turbo applications applies here, the headers are flipped around (left to right/ right to left), so the headers are facing forward for front mounting the turbo. While I planned on using these manifolds in a camaro/ firebird chassis, they should fit many others. The f-bodys tend to have very tight engine bays, so I would imagine they would be just at home in larger engine bays (monte regal trucks cutlass and etc)
Also, these headers could be used in standard configuration if you wanted to build a custom exhaust for a naturally aspirated engine. With the smaller runner diameter and 2.5" collectors, these would be perfect for a naturally aspirated street engine with limited space or ground clearance issues!
Again, these headers are for ALL lsx based engines. Ls1 Ls2 Ls3 Ls7 Lm7 Lq4 L92 and etc
These are brand new and have never been run. This is an awesome alternative to the popular truck manifolds turned around and much more attractive!
