This is true, but a spool helps a lot.

Good luck when you head out to the track!

Is your car a WS6 or TA? I'm curious about the rear springs. We looked them up at a dealership and the V6 cars had the same part number for the rear springs as the TA. I'm assuming the WS6 has a different spring than the regular TA's.

thats odd. i have a ta. but being theres a weight difference between the v6 and the v8 i woulda thought there was two different spring rates

Yeah, I've always heard of people putting V6 springs in their Z28/TA so I was thinking about doing it. When we looked up the parts the number was the same for both which I thought was odd.

They may be the same part number now but when they came from the factory they werent. LS2 and LS6 timing chains are now the same part number. I think they just cut back on production on stuff and if it can be used in either application they stick with the one part number.

^If that's the case then would you be buying a V8 spring for your V6 or a V6 spring for your V8? Which part did they discontinue?

It would sound odd due to the engine weight difference to give a v6 car the same spring as a v8 car, since the front springs are effected by the engine sitting over the k member. The rear I can see it not really mattering since the body weight is with in 100 pounds.

If/When I do a QA1, I am picking that middle of the road spring, 300 pounder.

But with tightening the belt, cuts do have to be made, and the GM Chrysler merger is coming quick so I dont see anything being expanded.

Oh and add me to the Stick car = busted 12 bolt club lol. Did it x2.

LVD didnt put enough water down.

Really didnt have any help letting me know if the rear tires are in the water. The track guys suck there some times.

I think it got hurt on Sept 19th it was acting funny when turning and then did a nice 2nd gear burn and it wheel hopped BAD, Joe (PSM) has it on vid so i'll post it. But not enough water on the tires leads to a dry burn on a bias ply and the Eaton Tru Trac is in full lock mode right now.

I had this happen last year, got some line lock and was fine for about 50 passes. Then this happend.

Just a little annoying.

I think Alex's best was a 1.41 (or maybe even a 1.40?).
But again, how many 12 bolts breakages did it take to get those?

Hard/high RPM launches on a sticky tire can do it, they're strong for sure but not indestructible.

I fully agree now, unless you toss a spool in.
