I was thinking about picking up an STI next year and this thread makes me want to get one even more. To bad there is no snow in Florida.

Oh I know it.
Last year was the first time I had them on and just for fun I looked for the steepest hill I could find with the deepest, unplowed snow on it and drove onto it and stopped. From a dead stop on a very steep grade the car just pulled ahead with no fuss and very little spin.
Similar to how my old IROC Z28 did it back in the day while on Goodyear Eagle M&Ss.

It is funny how badly people panic when a few inches of snow/ice is on the horizon, the gas stations and supermarkets were packed last night LOL.
At least it helps their sales a little bit.

Its only the older people who fret. They have been acting like the horse drawn ice wagon wont be able to make it through the woods to drop off ice for their fridge. After the storm leaves they are stuck with a **** load of useless snack type food and they realize they overreacted................then the next storm comes again and they freak out again! I have seen people stock up on blankets, qtips and batteries.

Just incase the blankets ice over while you run out of qtips cleaning your ears and the smoke detector low battery alarm signals.

I swear people are nuts. I told the girlfriend that she still had to go food shopping.

Its 55 degrees and some rain here in Pittsburgh - I guess we are far enough south to dodge the storm.
