That motor destroked like that is gonna be even worse in the tq department then a prostock motor is... making what Shawn's saying even more true then the normal case.

That's a screwy combo for sure with all the front end done like that and stock rear suspension. He mine as well 4 link it while it's cut up, at least that way it would be easier to sell after he makes 5 passes and doesn't run like you'd think a BBC big chief headed motor should.

When it's done, it would make a good car for a turbo lsx setup for the shootout

I agree.. But the customer is always right.. It is his money and the only thing I am able to do is make suggestions. I have no control over changes that are made. The car has been through several combo changes to this date since Ive had the car and still more to come.. Im sure.. As for engine it was suppose to be a triple nickel big block,some what of a mountain moter w/ a 400 trans. The cage was just a sportsman cage then last year converted to a 25.5 with a few 25.2 bars added. The rear/ suspension was all ready set up in the car before the new engine came. As for the front suspension it was added to lighten the front end a cast iron big block. As for the one piece fiberglass front end the customer opted to have that done because that is what he wanted.. As for a 4 link suspension.. its a little to late to change that.. Besides their a few 3 link suspension f body cars out their making 1500-2000 hp out doing just fine (1.20-1.40 ) I dont think my customer is tring to break any records. He is just looking for some fun with his car..

I hear ya, my local fab guy has a 25.2 full chassis car (hugger camaro that eastside sold) that is 4 linked and everything, eastside was building it as an outlaw 10.5 car, but the guy that bought it is just gonan bracket race it with a 632 big chief headed steve schmidt motor.

To each his own I guess.

And there's the car.....

My bad I thought it was a 632, my error there.

How soon is Bruce gonna be done with it? Last time I was down there the nose was all hung on it, looked like alot more was done and it was getting close.

Hopefully he gets it done soon, my next project will be taking it's place in the shop I'd guess for a while unless I find someone else I feel comfortable working with.

Hoping took pick it up by mid to late Feb.Its been coming along slowly but I am very pleased with the work,All Bruce has left is the headers and scoop.When I dropped it off in may It was supposed to be completed in 8 weeks but I have also added some things.But the wait has been worth it.

Burce is a great guy, a big project like that and I can tell ya, it's gonna take him a while. Quality is pretty good, but he gets a bunch of easy work in and that will get banged out first and the big project will end up sitting... It's happend to a bunch of guys with him, but honestly, for what he charges vs what some other shops in the area charge, you're better off with him doing it.

My next project, if I give it to him will probably be in there for a year or 2 I'd guess with the way it will proabably play out, but there's alot of stuff I want to do with my next car and I already know I am gonna be PICKY PICKY about how it is done, so much so that I've even considered buying a tubing bender, taking a wending class and buying a TIG, buying a tubing notcher and doing it myself.
