I'm not quite sure anything could be worse than what we have down here. It's usually one hour for every 15 miles - with four to six lanes.

I never, ever hit traffic in the north hills except the occasional light on McKnight. Regardless of where you are going, traffic will not be an issue with commuting coming from the north unless it's Rt. 28.

The thing is, I don't have a job lined up yet. My fiance just started applying for accounting jobs this week. I'm in property management, so I'm not quite sure which direction to take with that since the companies that are big here in DC are not in Pittsburgh. I was in automotive for 6 years (Chevrolet/Saturn parts & service) before moving down here and I'd love to get back into it, but I don't think now is the best time.

It's kind of tough because I loved automotive, but the money wasn't there. The money is in property management, but I don't enjoy my job.

Anyway, her parents moved to Delmont about 2 years ago, so that's the only area we really know anything about - and there isn't much there. We want to be close to RT22 so it's easy to get to PRP and head back to my family in State College, but any suggestions would be great. We'd be looking to keep our home price under $200k.

I'm currently the assistant manager of a 558 unit "luxury" apartment/town home community. We cater to CEO's and Diplomats, to name a few. It's quite demanding. The company is a REIT, if that answers your question.

No, everyone in Pennsylvania is

Honestly, it's more rural and as mentioned previously, the cost of living is MUCH MUCH MUCH less. Plus, I'm closer to home (PSU) and my fiance will be close to her family in Delmont.

Anyway, what I mean by uptight people is elitist. I live in Washington, DC. Would you expect anything less? I miss my PA peeps. You're down to earth and for the most part, considerate.

John here from New Kensington. It's a shame about the Flashlight Drags, but there seems a better chance of them coming back at Waynesburg.
