Default Prayers......

For everyone up in the Buffalo, NY area who had any family, friends, or other loved ones on that Continental Airlines bird that went down on approach to the Airport last night. Have been watching it today on CNN.....a tragic loss for sure. Hopefully, no one on this site had people involved.... WJ

Default Flying approach on auto-pilot, or not?

One of those late-model Bombardier (same Mfg. as Ski-doo) planes had some automatic pilot problems a yr. or two back on a flight in Canada, but the pilots were able to switch over and save the plane before crashing cause they had enough altitude. They're talking that or too much wing ice. Here...eye witness said plane was turned on it's left side, nose heading down, and heading AWAY from airport when it crashed into the house. That's supposed to be a real safe plane, w/a great safety record, a '08 model as well, so a few things must've gone tragically wrong at once. We may never know, unless the cockpit voice recorder and other data they collected in the boxes tell the story. Hard to believe 2 people in the house survived and barely injured...WJ
