Default Thinking about downsizing my trailer

I stopped in and talked to the guy at the haulmark dealership and it sounds like I can trade my trailer in for a new/smaller one.

Right now I have a 8x20 enclosed car trailer w/ 7000lb gvw. Im looking to trade it in for a 7x16 v nose with a 7000lb gvw. Ill be gaining the added aerodynamics, 1000lbs lighter, and its brand new. He said I'll be able to trade straight up, but i have to pay the tax/tags which is $423.00. I use the trailer for powerwashing and my original plan was to have dual washers with the tank in the middle but I dont have a need for that anymore so I dont need the extra space.

Do you guys think this would be a good move? BTW I'd finally be able to see down the side of the damn trailer

Sounds like a good deal to me. How old is your current trailer? Probably should think of down the road... if you ever plan to get more equipment... will you have the space

usually trades are always given less then its worth, unless you dont want the hassle you might tbe able to sell it more outright buy the new one and have $ left

I wouldn't, but I like being able to get out of the car once it's in the trailer.
