2009 Eastern Section Quickest List
Car is identical (ie: bolt ons only LS2) to the last time I ran it other than the addition of a FAST intake manifold and some stellar Cartek Performance Engineering dyno re-tuning:
60' ............. 1.622
1/8th ......... 7.189
1/8th MPH .. 112.77 (Wait, what?
1/4 ............ 11.181
MPH ........... 123.54
Here are copies of my three best slips, car#364 (as usual):

Much thanks to Cartek Racing for the awesome and clean installs and of course their legendary dyno tuning skills, they truly have extracted the very most out of the few mods that I have done to the car.
Also a thanks to Dennis50nj for assisting me at the track as well as (along with Cartek's expertise) helping pave the way for serious naturally aspirated bolt on C6 performance/results with his own blue beast.

I might try and give the Z28 (also still bolt ons) another shot at the 11.7s come November/December but not sure yet.

Either way a 9.1 on only a 1.43 short time is truly movin'
....you might only need a solid 1.41 to see an 8.9x or even only a 1.42 if the air/DA is better, though of course better air could again hurt traction overall with that same IRS/10" tire combo. That guy you raced against has a bigger tire yes, but the 60' and ET justifies that tire size.
Guy runs 33" tires and cuts a 1.4 60' you're like ah, too much tire. Guy cuts a low 1.2 60', runs a low 8@ 160+mph and you're like "Oh yeah"

And don't forget, the relatively weak 60' is padding your mph a bit as well. You cut a mid 1.3 and your mph will barely make 150, maybe less.
Conversely you take that big tire car and put a tire like yours on there and 60' in the 1.4 range and I'll bet that car hits 170mph or better not having to lug that huge tire down the track.
All apples and oranges Frank right?
I'd love to see your car with a solid rear, a little lighter and transferring weight a bit better, you'd never see 9's again with that Goat.
Again, admittedly not knowing much about the IRS I would like to ask how good are those 1/2 shafts you're using really? What's gonna happen to them when and if you can start planting those tires and getting mid 1.3 60's, which for your car, weight and set up I would consider a GOOD SOLID 60'. What's the best 60' anybody has cut using those 1/2 shafts?
"Admirable" sticking with the IRS yes, definatley.
Holding you guys back? Absolutely!
That's my opinion anyway, just talkin' here-no flame meant or anything like that.
