You are correct to an extent, those tires aren't m/t I agree but I've seen 1.40 on them n/a, gary went 9.50 with the orange car on the same tire and saw mid 1.3's with them they can work.


Chances of just going to the brake and having the car work the same, I doubt it. It's like going to a stick car suspension setup almost with the way it hits compared to a footbrake launch.

I'm not worried about launching on the t brake right now since the foot brake is netting me consistent 1.3s. I would like to get it to work so that I can get a better reaction time. I'm sure I can get the tires to work, just need more seat time in the car. I did one launch with it at 4000 rpms without a 2 step and it spun. I've been launching the car at 20psi, so I am sure with lower tire pressue and finding the right launch rpm, the tires will work.

I"d stick with what works as well. If the footbrake is working, I'd go with it, there's guys out there that can cut a lite off a footbrake. Harder yes, but it's not impossible
