1979 Monte to LS1 engine swap
Hi
I've got a 2002 LS1 engine and 4L60e that I'd like to swap into my 1979 Monte Carlo, which is back in Hampton, VA. I'm currently in Quantico training for the Marine Corps, so I don't have much time to do it myself. I was hoping ya'll could recommend some good shops (or skilled individuals) that would be willing to take on the task. I posted in the Hampton Roads thread but had no luck, so now I'm appealing to a larger audience. Distance isn't a huge concern if the work is good-anywhere in or around VA is fair game. Thanks for your suggestions.

Is he a currently a Marine? They have the Officer Candidate School across the way on Mainside. Right now I'm at The Basic School, which is the training all newly commissioned Marine Officers go through before they hit their MOS schools. However, Quantico is the crossroads of the Corps, so there are tons of Marines here, both enlisted and officer, so I might know him.
