any news on the super vic fit? are you gonna run an elbow or a top mount tb? either way that thing is way tighter than i hoped it would be. is the vic jr much shorter?

vic jr is probably close to 1 3/4" shorter, you could mill it down though

The intake fit's fine.I'm keeping the wipers no problem. Now I need to get my 105mm TB and have an intake elbow made bigger than the 90mm one I have now.

Only thing I don't like about the 4150 is that there is no way to put on a decent filter and you lose the windshield wipers. Here are some pics with the 90.My plan is to have a bigger 90 made for more volume and to fit the 105mm TB.

that looks very nice. how much do you think the elbow will hold you back? i've been back and forth over which way to go and like you said i'm not into losing the wipers. any details on the elbow and mods to the hood?

Well we found out it depends on what elbow you use, we had a edlebrock elbow on my motor at first, we switched to the aarons elbow and gained 90 RWHP. I think the setup I had I wouldn't have gained much more with the 4150 style TB. It was good enough to run 10.20s in a 3250lb car

I look as the elbow being the plenum. This is why I'm going with one bigger for now.

As Krazy stated, yes it's true on the gain.I couldn't believe it but noticed the change right away.

well i'm looking to run either a vic jr or super vic. i'm under the impression that the super vic is more of what i need(rpm range). my original plan was to run it with a top mount but like you already said wipers and a decent air filter as big issues. after seeing the pics of the super on your car i'm thinking that and a good elbow will be my best best. what kind of clearancing did you have to do to the hood? is the elbow a custom deal from Aarons or a shelf model? your build came at a perfect time for me. seeing it done makes it easier for me

Looks like the hood will have to cut through the top.Won't really know till we are ready for the hood.Mind you I have a stock(flat) hood.It would clear no problem with a ram air hood(with cutting the bottom out)

That elbow is off the shelf but the new one will be alittle custom.
