Sorry to break it to you guys, but going for it on 4th & 2 was the right call to make. Those of you that say punt it are pretty much saying that you will be able to stop Peyton and Co. in the 2 minute drill. As much as I dislike the Colts, that isn't happening - especially at home.
If you go for it and convert, you win. If you don't convert, there is a chance that the Colts score too quick and Brady gets a chance to get in FG range. Even the statistics say you go for it in that scenario.
Also, one angle of the replay shows that Faulk had possession of the ball and both feet past the 30, but his back was to the official making the call. Tough spot for the official to be in, but I don't think he "blew the call." He saw the tip, and that's about all he could see. Had the Pats held onto a time out to review that.... who knows. Either way, they should have won that game long before the 2 minute mark of the 4th quarter.

agreed i saw sportscenter and he did have total control of the ball.....so thats a bs call.....and that garcon dude was quite an actor because the corner didnt do nada....two bad calls cost the game. its ok reggie wayne didnt have 179 yards and two tds like moss did.....better luck next time. all i can say is if they meet up in the playoffs it wont turn out so nice for the colts. until next time.....

Going for it on 4th and 2, that late in the game is a ballsy call to make. Doing it when you're on your own 28 yard line is almost arrogant, but to make matters worse, you chose a slant pass? The risk to reward there is atronomical as they quickly found out. At least try and run the ball because if you don't get it, at least you run less risk of in interception. Plus I blame Brady for underthrowing the ball and forcing his reciever to come back to the ball. If thrown properly, he would have been leading his receiver down the feild and had the first down.
The Patriots got what they deserved because they were cocky, arrogant, and didn't execute when they needed to.

I'm not mad at all. I'm not a Pittsburg fan either. Actually, I'm a Giants fan, and let's face it, the entire NFC is in shambles this year, other than New Orleans and maybe Minnesota.
Trust me, I've got way to many other 'real' things to worry about than a game that's for entertainment purposes only. Who cares if the NFL is rigged more than the WWE, as long as it's entertaining, who cares, and that game the other night was just that, entertaining.

Unfortuantely regular season records mean squat when it comes to play off time. All it does is decide who you face, be it a wild card or regular slot. Anything can certainly happen.

Jets are good for one thing, you can always count on them to botch up a game and/or lose a game by a large margin.
I flicked that on a couple times yesterday just to get an idea what was happening, and every time I looked it was either the jets doing something stupid or new england scoring.
Needless to say, I wasn't surprised.
Vikings looked good yesterday. Guess Farve isn't getting tired yet
