unless we get some dry pavement i wont be able to test out the nitrous either. im worried about it being intermittent. because of a bad ground or something stupid.

Wow what a facility... The track was in awsome condition... That was by the far the best traction I have ever had on a track... The ride home sucked so bad 4hours of bumper to bumper traffic...

Well I failed today. Best I could swing was a couple 10.1 at 139mph. I had a couple of issues show up.
Blew apart some intercooler piping on a nice run.
And missed a gear trying to do a half hearted flat shift which caused the alternator belt to get shredded.

I just made up my mind to go late last night and just failed to pack everything I should have... And once again I think the thought of a possible long tow home kept me from really going for it.

Yeppers. Unfortunately spent more time playing with band-aids than racing. For some odd reasons my bugs only show up on the track...

Dont know how you only got 3 runs in...

i seen your first run early. you were pedalling that thing all the way down the track. my reason for getting 3 runs was on the second i sprayed the car, it came up a couple feet , came down, unloaded the tires and i think it broke the tru trac.

Nah I think the viper or someone went before me and put some antifreeze down... That was a scarry ride. It started dancing about the 1/8 after that all was good... I was happy to see them cleaning the track after that pass. The track was awsome.

Nah Dan, I am just having some **** poorly built **** on my end. Hose clamps instead of t-bolt clamps. Trying to skimp out on buying a shim pack vs grinding a washer down. And making the decession at almost midnight last night to go racing in the morning. Just wasnt preppared and knowing that I was granny shifting and not really going for it. And it just got to warm to fast today. The track was perfect and I really never say that.

MIR did kickass. After I saw the track official dive on a puddle of coolant w/ an armful of towels, I knew they took pride in their work. Props to those guys. They make the $$$ for the rentals TOTALLY worth it.

I agree MIR is a very nice track.... with Atco at a close 2nd for rental days I believe. Cecil is a good track especially with the lanes that let you drift the car right down to burnout box, keeping the heat down on the motor.

MikeP sorry you had some issues minor ones but sucks either way. I have to say though that says alot for the 6spd machine you are driving. Stock suspension, 770rwhp+ drive 2.5hours to the track, change rear tires run 10.1's hitting the rev limiter at 139mph, hitting 112mph in the 1/8mi cutting some mean 60fts. Then drive the car home 4hours in traffic all in one day. I can't think of to many cars that can do that Mike! Congrats!
