I've been taking my TBSS to Tune Time in Tom's River, NJ since they have an AWD dyno and flawless rep in the TBSS community. I've been extremely happy with the results so far. I'll most likely be using them or RPM in Delaware for future tuning of my Pontiacs.

thats where my SS is now.

FYI, I got a hold of TTPerformance. I ran into the same problem (called and left messages) for a couple days, but I finally got in touch with them. I think they were busy, since their voice mail hadn't been changed since Sept. 17th (I called from Sept. 23rd until Sept. 28th - they're open Tues.-Fri.).

Matt is a good guy . Had my 98 done there . Straightened out all of my issues and runs really well for a bone stock engine . Very true about the dyno #s . Look at mine Still ran 12.53 on a 82* and humid day .

Matt at Tune Time? I'm confused because the tuner at TTPerf is Matt too. I just want someone to iron out the tune I got from before, or maybe if I get a new cam next year.

There is a Tune Time Performance which is ran by Matt (located in Toms river)

There is a TTPerformance ran by Matt which I believe this thread is about.

Yeah they are hard to get a hold of, but they do really good work and at least you know they're busy. Just like a resturant, if they're busy you can bet they're good. Been with them for around 7 years or so and they are just finishing my ls7 stroker with a super victor and a 4500 TB! Should be sick! Their number is 973 256 1234 but seeing Matt's shop in person is all the proof you need. BTW a lot of Matt's business is fixing other " LS specialists" f**k ups

True!

They have done excellent work for me over the years as well! Everything from tune to complete tranny rebuild.Matt even went so far as to pay for me a rental car out of his pocket for me to get back home because the car wasn't completely to my liking.

Yep! that's what i'm talking about. He has done similar for me in the past. It's one thing to make horsepower and do good work, but when they stand behind their work... you can't ask for more than that. Now lets hope I make some good power!

The place is busy NOT because of customer service, NOT because of the quality of work, but because people read magazines and seeing TTP in GMHTP makes them believe they are awesome.

It's like how expensive restaurants are always packed. It's because people think if they pay extra that the food is better. That is so friggin far from the truth in the case of TTP. Good luck.

after spending $12,000 with TTP. ill never recommend them to anyone. my 408 the built blew up after 500 street miles. then I changed gears and started doing my own work again and I had my engine builder pull it apart. he found a TON wrong. bearing clearances WAY to close, the oil pickup tube O ring wasnt installed correctly and it came off. and a long list of issues. my tune was way on the unsafe side.. they were after 500whp... they got it.. but not for long.

oh ya.. and my car sat for 8 months outside of their shop waiting for a 6pt cage to go in.. they charged my CC $2000... 8 months later nothing happened! my car just sat and sat with no interior.

wont ever send anyone there.

It's funny cause my buddy at work had a ton of work done at another shop (no need to name names) and eventually took it TTP and they found a ton of things wrong. Every person is going to have different experiences with different shops and different results. Personally, I've had great experiences with TTP FWIW and will continue to go there...I'm just broke lol.

Would you rather me say ironic? I guess "funny" was a poor choice of words. It wasn't a personal shot at you or your wallet, 12 g's is a LOT of money and it sucks that happened to you and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, don't get me wrong. I'm just pointing out that no matter what shop or dealership you bring up someone will love it and another will hate it, that's all. Sorry about that, no offense was meant by it and I can see how that came across the wrong way.

On a side note....god DAMN those are some nice #'s on the z06 must be a blast

If you want an engine done right go to an experienced engine builder. If you need a shop for tuning & misc work then I'd say a good number of our sponsors are more than capable. Just because a shop may do everything doesn't mean they do everything right.

I had a full build done at ttp in jersey on my c5 vette 427 lsx tti-x kit.. Took well over a year to complete. Customer service sucked. Had a motor blow that I took to them (they didnt build). So I cant say it was there fault. I will never go back. Took way way to long to get stuff done, and I didnt like the fact that i had to keep track of my $30,000 build leaving messages trying to figure out wat was going on. At the end of waiting almost a year to get done I just went and picked it up and took it to another shop. The whole ordeal was a big pain in the ***. So I would NEVER recommend anyone to go there.

I now have a c6 z06 that I have modded at RPM in deleware and have never had a better experience. Prices are great, work quality is 100%, RPM FTW.. !!!
