Which Clutch?
Ok, in a dilemma about what clutch to put behind a 416, in a 2002 Camaro. Guessing 500-550 rwhp
Monster is out, so dont bother suggesting them.
I am really looking at the twin setups out there, they seem to offer the best all around for street and track use. Act like a stock clutch hold like a race clutch.
Any input on any of them?
What are all you big power guys running?

Setup was a Monster 3.5 (which I find it interesting its discontinued now) with a Tick Master, new slave and all.
Clutch 1 was one of the small batch of mis-machined clutch setups and where my tranny took a lot of high rpm grinding trying all the bs they had me going through before they realized the issue I guess.
Clutch 2 Vibration, sent me a new pressure plate
Clutch 2.3 Maybe has 2500 miles on it and has abnormal wear pattern and still never could shift at high rpm.
So I am out by time on the warranty, I called them, described the wear, said it was probably caused by forcing the trans and pulling it in with the bolts.
They asked for pictures, but I decided not to go any further with it, I am done pulling my trans for all these issues with them.

Textralia OZ700. Slightly more track use: get the Z-grip. Slightly more street use: get the X-grip. I loved every second of mine until I sold the car.
Also, no break-in period. Install, pull out onto the street, rev it up and dump the clutch, followed by a full blast through the gears. Ready to go.

a lot of guys in dallas area are running Diamond Stage 3. its basically a textralia clone for a lot less money. he buys the components from the same source as textralia.

I had a monster 3.5 too. I loved it, held great and drivability was great. I ended up pulling the ls2 out of my car before selling the car, and noticed there was an unusual wear on the disk material for only having 10k miles on it. I dont do much high rpm shifts either. I too thought it weird that it is now discontinued after such a short production run. I don't know if I will go back to monster again, plus I don't prefer puck style disks
