cant win with nydmv

cant win with nydmv ok so went to renew my truck registration today and am now screwed it looks...my truch is a 86 jimmy and has been pretty much parked for the last year because it was loaded up with to much crap i was storing....went to renew today and they wont because the inspection is up on it...i'm rergistering it for upstate ny but cant get ny safety inspection for outside of nyc area until its registered for up there,,,the big prob is i cant find a shop in brooklyn that either has the equip working to inpect pre 96 or that is willing to inspect a pre 96....now i have a unregistered and uninspected truck

nope not when you renew.....now its got me concerned about if i'm gonna be anle to do my camaro next year...not sure how they did the inspection on that one.....its really stupid rule in the state that i guess they are changing in the beginning of the year as far as inspection types that is....b4 if it was a non obd2 it would just get a safety..now they hook up a sniffer to it for polution purposes....i dont mean to sound like an inconciderate *** but polution was here way b4 me and it will be here way after me.....the few 20 plus year old cars that are still being driven daily arent really hurting to much...i mean i understand if my truck was doing a james bond smoke screen but come on how many guys leave emmisions and cats on an old lifted toy

it says u live in brooklyn... if u want to register it "upstate", u have to change ur license and reg to an "upstate' address... not sure what they do different anymore in the different areas, but ur problem seems to be with the year of ur truck... any registered inspection station should be able to inspect it, if the can't or won't, report them...

i came from upstate and they are insured at my moms address so changing to upstate is not a prob once its inspected......i went to prob 10 diff shops ysturday and they all said that thier machines were broken...turning in shops does me no good
