LT1 shops still around?
Anybody still interested in working on one of these? (car is in central MA)
Also to mention, loose or unconnected grounds near the coil, or the opti harness. One nice thing is that the front of the engine is very accessible. If I was closer would just check it out for him but a lil too far away.

I will add though that in 1992-1993 They still used a removable chip instead of a flashable PCM and being Speed Density.
1994 Went to MAF and a Flashable PCM, still non vented Opti and if you had a A4 car with a sigifigant stall (2800ish) rpm, you would hit Stall Wall, this went away once ODBII came out for the 96+ year Model
1995 Saw a Vented Opti and generally considered the "best" year of the F-body for LT1's due to at the time, the ease of tuning.
I never too my LT1 that far but I recall hearing people having issues trying to spin the motor past either 7k ot 7,500 and PCM more or less shutting down as it could not handle the RPM. Also Injector drivers were used once you got to that level. But some either made it into a carbed set up, or went aftermarket on the engine management which solved many issues.
Ultimately whether you stayed stock, went carbed, or went after market you were still dealing with a engine with vitually no after market engine support and I think just now LT1's are getting heads with different vavle angles which is very much behind the time.
** Going off memory so I am sure I missed stuff.
