Phone is Dead! Droid or Iphone?
between the 2 HTC's..(evo and thunderbolt) i played with them side by side and i can tell you they are virtually the same in every aspect except size...the thunderbolt is a little thicker b/c of the bigger battery. the thunderbolt is also allways on 4g which can be turned off on the EVO.
id suggest lookin into one of those as they are both at the top of the food chain when it comes to smart phones right now. in my opinion the droid operating system runs smoother and is a bit quicker than apple. hope this helps.
If you are a control freak/tweaker/electronics hot rodder, like to manage your own music, pics and other files, get a Droid.
If you don't care how things work and want to press a button to have music magically "sync'd" to your phone, get an iPhone.
You'll need a computer to get your phone going. Not so for the Droid.
Cons for Iphone/ Pros for Android
Iphone apps are censored.
No flash player on Iphone, more than likely never will be after a falling out with each other
Battery life is erratic, some days are better than others
Lack of LED indicator
Screen glass not as strong
Iphone pros/ Cons for android
There are more apps for Iphone.
The music quality is better on Iphone, but it should be since thats what its based on.
More aftermarket support
My buddy has the HTC Evo for Sprint and I do not like it at all. The iPhone is so much more smooth and easier to use IMO. I love the functionality of it being an iPod as well and I was already used to my iPod touch. I also jailbroke my phone the day after I bought it and I have all sorts of cool apps that make the phone even better.
Like mentioned above by several people, they both have their pros and cons. Play around with each and see which one you like better.
If I had to do it again, I would still buy the iPhone.

the evo is faster, easier to use, and i can insure it lol
But Android is where its at. The whole open source idea running on a linux kernal has me sold. Right your own apps, tons of support, great tweaking options. Android 2.1 and up has really matured, its a great/stable platform that really can do anything you want.
Plus personally I've never been a macintosh fan. The whole Ora that spews out of that breed, ehhh
