Capitol Friday
1)The first was going to capital. Nah I goofed bad. My air filter needed to be cleaned real bad and with the temps to be falling and decent air first mistake was to remove the air filter. When I coupled the the cold air intake side of the suction I must not have gotten a good enough bite on the impeller housing or, when I tightened down the plastic side the plastic may have become oval. In short I ended up with a nightmare and sucked a coupler into the supercharger and bent up some of the blades. After I tightened it all down I gave it a tug and it felt nice and snug. So I am not quite sure how it happened. That was my really big mistake tonight.
2) Mistake two was I set my tire air pressure when I got down there. When the tires where fresh off the road and warm from driving. Not knowing I would be in the staging lanes for 3hrs waiting to make a pass. Tires cooled down air temp dropped almost 20* and my air pressure was way to low at that point. Next time I know better to not air down until its almost time to run.
In short its going to be expensive to get it all fixed correctly. Hoping to have the supercharger shipped out first thing Monday morning and I am expecting about a 2.5/3 week turn around on getting it back. So I am going to be probably parking it for the most part.
Just seems when I screw up I screw up expensive...
God please give me the strenth to kill myself....
cuz of traction issues and i got stang banged on my last run....lol it was a older dude in a fox body that put his flashers on at the end of the track he trapped at 113 and left early then bragged to his kid and buddy how he smoked that camaro ...lmao... anywho it was fun other than waitin 3 hrs to make a pass... BTW, we were in the white truck with the white trailer that kept messing with u on 95 on the way home, lol. :-)

That's frustrating to say the least. That was my first time to Capital, and it was a sad sight! Is it normal for the track to have no control over the spectators? That's the reason for viewing stands correct. Maybe I have been spoiled over the last 15 yrs at different tracks across the country, but that was absolutely ridiculous! When you have to make an announcement to tell the spectators to clear the track for cleaning, it seems like you have lost control already. I ended up leaving after 2+ hrs in the staging lanes without getting a run in. I know that was not as long as some of you, but I was getting frustrated and with the wife being pregnant(she normally races too), I didn't have the patience to wait any longer. I talked to one of the individuals that oiled downed the track(an acquaintance of mine). I try not to get upset when this happens, but he could have made better decisions prior to running down the track to prevent the motor breakage.

It was nice meeting a few of the board members, and I hope to get out to the track (most likely not Capital anymore, but probably Cecil) more often. Maybe I can get my car finished before the tracks close for the season.

I was in limp mode on 95 just trying to keep the rpm down to get the car home. Car should be a blast to drive right now
with no blower and speed density so nothing to eat up fuel over 2500rpm... It was nice to see everyone down their... I agree with ya... They had no control over that place... Maybe cecil next time...

I started in the left lane, but the right lane (my right tires) won the race according to the slip. 8.911@140.82 to a 8.944@138.39 (same car, just not traveling too straight)

Sorry about car Mike P ...I swore off Capital a long long time ago
Really though Mike i hope you get it all figured out...i had a bad feeling about jumping on my bike to make a pass so i sat it out. Sure enough a bike went down. Just not a good night all around.
I do have some vids of most of you spinning half way down the track...and some of bruce's flashers
