We run r5671a-8 ngk ,one heat range hotter,this is in a 467" 15* head small block,15:1 comp.We ran the 9s but seemed to run better on the 8s,by looking at the plugs confirmed that. As for being a good quality plug,I think so. Some of your plug selection goes with amount of nitrous. Theuy go as cold as a #10 in this plug group.

Chicken how much compression, and how much nitrous are you looking to try to run? A #9 plug, is usually for a healthy dose of nitrous, or something with alot of compression with nitrous, (like say 13 to 1 and 200 or more, or if it's a 11 to 1 motor spraying 300)
If you're in that territority, I would suggest asking these questions on yellow bullet, becuase there's alot more useful info there, or at least ask this question in the nitrous forum you may get some useful info there. Not too many people in this area that are going to be able to tell you much about running a #9 plug...
