Hahahaha!!!!! Did you use the words " eBay buyer protection ".....????? Because if you did please let me be the first to tell you that its all bullshit! Selling on eBay I'm sure you know that already... All I can say is I've been burnt in the past and the same story has come up every time! Doesn't matter either way because I'm 110% sure anyone who has seen this thread will never do business with any of your 5+ eBay names. Hmmmmmm.....

Read up one. Money refunded. The guy didn't get burned, he was just mad that PayPal held up his money over their nonsense policies. I'm not sure where you got that I had 5+ eBay names. I had two eBay names, one for transmissions, and one for engines. I also had a buyer account that I did not sell from, to avoid retaliatory feedback problems that I've read about. On both of my eBay accounts, I referenced the other account ("For transmissions, please check us out at adqtransmissions") and used similar names on purpose to associate the two accounts. I wasn't trying to conceal my identity, I was trying to streamline processes. As far as eBay buyer protection, it may be a joke, but I suspect you got "burned" more than a year ago when eBay/PayPal buyer protection was revamped. PayPal buyer protection finds in favor of buyers no matter what. If you don't have luck with PayPal buyer protection, you can always file a chargeback, which is your best insurance anyway. Anybody who's ever sold on eBay can tell you how hard it is to not get scammed as a seller. Try Googling if you don't know anybody who sells. Why do you think so many of the sellers offer unconditional returns for everything? Because eBay will just make them refund the money in exchange for a box of bricks.

It's a waste of time for you for 2 reasons:
1-You are kind of not a nice person and everyone here see's right thru you.

2-You ressurected the thread after it was dead.

Either way you made your own problems here and wasted your own time.

It's been entertaining for us though so thank you very much.

Read the comments above and tell me how you would respond to that type of nonsense. With kind words, I suppose? I think I've been fairly restrained. Those comments were uncalled for, unnecessary, and frankly, poorly informed. It seems like you're spending a lot of time trying to trash my name. As far as resurrecting the thread, I suppose you could say I was naive in thinking I would appeal to the common reason of the room, apologize, rebut, the customer would say "it's all good, I got my money, but PayPal still sucks", and that would be the end of it. Are any of your opinions clouded by the fact that you see me as your competition? I've read some of your other posts, and it seems like you have a habit of flaming online (and being late shipping). Was it BS when you got an address wrong and lost a customer's belts? Perhaps it would be in everyone's best interest if you refrained from commenting on other merchants' transactions that have nothing to do with you? It sort of takes away from the reliability of your statements when they're tainted by your own best interests.

Exclamation Northstar from ADQ

I am sure that anyone who has read this thread does not need further explanation concerning the customer service that I received after purchasing a defective engine from ADQ. As far as my situation being "BS", I can assure you that I did in fact purchase a defective engine from ADQ, which was covered by a 25 day warranty. Mr. Thomas, however, bluntly refused to honor this warranty.

Prior to the purchase, Mr. Thomas guaranteed that, if the engine did not run well upon installation, or within 25 days thereafter, he would repair or replace it at no further cost. However, immediately on the first start, the engine poured out clouds of steam, and coolant boiled out of the reservoir. Anyone who is familiar with the Northstar engine's infamous weakness knows what this means; this engine had previously experienced an overtemp situation, resulting in a blown headgasket and/or stripped head bolts. Rather than working with me to resolve the issue, Mr. Thomas labeled me a scam artist, and accused me of tampering with the engine in order to rip him off.

This engine was installed by a Cadillac specialist, who has 30+ years experience with the Northstar engine. Concerning my own experience, I am a supervisor at a Mack Truck repair shop, and have experience and extensive training in Gasoline, Diesel, and Jet engines. The diagnosis was not "BS", we know engines.

I am not posting this to throw accusation or to degrade anyone; my purpose is to warn all parties concerned that, although it is a violation of Federal law to refuse to honor a written warranty, you cannot always trust the seller to honor his warranty. It is a very lengthy process to pursue legal action in order to arrive at a resolution, and this purchase has cost me a great deal of time and headache, not to mention the added expense of driving a rental car while the case continues. Learn from my mistake: Never purchase an engine without seeing and hearing it run, and do not rely on a seller's warranty.

Mr. Thomas, I do not wish to harm or degrade you in any way. If you would like to communicate with me privately, you have my contact information. I welcome an offer to repair or replace this engine as per your warranty, and I will be happy to publish a good word for you if you chose to do so. However, under the circumstances of your refusal, I feel it is beneficial for others to be aware that ADQ is willing to sell a defective item, covered by a warranty that is unsubstantial until enforced by a court of law.

If you had returned the engine (per terms) you would have received your refund. You refused to return the product and demanded thousands of dollars from me. It's pretty simple. You supposedly had the engine installed by a guy in a storage unit in Holiday, Florida. He is not a certified mechanic, nor are you. Calling your storage unit "Cadillac Automotive", which I believe is illegal without consent from Cadillac Motor Company, does not make you a "Cadillac expert". Then you tried to charge-back the transaction, which failed because you're a liar (vendors rarely win chargebacks for "item quality", any business owner here can back that statement up). If you're not full of crap, then tell me right here that it's okay to republish our e-mail communications where you refuse to get your warranty refund and demand thousands of dollars. You won't do that, though, will you? Of course you won't, because you're a lying con artist. First you drove it for weeks, then it was hours, now it was broken when you got it? Just say "it's okay to publish my e-mails" and we can resolve this ridiculous dispute.
