time should go with the car, and the driver should be noted IMO, but not really a deciding factor...

I disagree esp in a stick car... Driver experience shines brighter on a manual.. I bet an experienced driver like Zturd could get another .18 out of my car

There's NO discrediting a car because the owner didn't drive/build it himself.

I say yes but you should note who drove the car..Experience matters no matter what what the car has done to it. I don't believe the member you are talking about tried to hide anything as he noted in his post who had driven the car.. Now if you post a new PB but fail to mention you were not the driver I'm gona give you **** and have fun with it.

The OWNER (me) not driver on this occassion totally agrees with what you've said. Never hid that I wasn't driving. It was only after a special forces trained specialist followed my publicly linked post about me not driving did this become an issue. Taliban-who; al qaeda what - send in the black hawks. I kid, I kid (joke about Doug (ECS) getting into verbal hand-to-hand)

You all currently have driving skills that far surpass what I have - but I, with ECS' help, have built my dream car that runs a number (thanks to my 'hot shoe' Doug) that makes me laugh out loud every time I think about it; especially when I drop off my son at school then drive to work in my suit in that 8 sec car. My desire to have my car listed is, indeed, selfish. I'm proud as **** of it - plain and simple.

Listen, the lists we all reference are only as good and useful as the people who contribute and moderate the. I guess we (I) have to figure out what the true purpose of the lists are. I approached the lists to see what what a particular car (here a C6Z06) could do in the 1/4 regardless of who drove it. If I was wrong, my bad.

Ok, rant off. Be well, have fun and enjoy yourselves

I don't think that a different driver discredits the car in anyway. Car runs what it runs and if it makes the list it makes the list.

That being said-I do think that the "driver" needs to be the one to list it.
For example I dont think that 1SwtRide's name should be on the list if he didn't do the driving.
It should be Doug@Ecs or whoever the driver was on the list with the car and the time.

It takes alot to get a car down the track, lotta track time, skill, experience, tuning etc.
Just doesn't seem right to me for someone to put his name to a time he didn't run.

Guess we all agree on that point.

I agree... If that was actually the case we would have 3-4 more cars on the top fast list over on CF. I dont even argue with it bc its not worth it.
