p0452 code I was looking around to buy another Firebird, V6 this time.. already have 2 V8s, and was looking at this one...

He sorta lied in the ad. The code is a problem with the fuel tank pressure sensor system. It *could* be caused by the gas cap not sealing. It also could be loose wires. Those are simple fixes. On the other hand it could be big. The actual pressure sensor in the fuel tank could be bad. Or it could even be the pcm itself acting up.
Personally I wouldn't buy a car with check engine light on, especially if the owner says he's tried to fix it and couldn't. But if you're willing to risk it, I'd low ball him just because of that code.
