Buying a prius....wow!!!

A lot of other cars get very good mileage without the downsides of the Prius. I have never driven one or even been a passenger in one but keep that in mind.
Also, one of the wine and cheese mags did a comparison of a V8 car (maybe an M3?) vs a Pruis on a roadcourse. The V8 was driven very easy to allow the Pruis to keep up. Guess what? They both had very close MPG figures since the Pruis had to be driven 100% just to stay with a V8 at 30%.
What about a Sonata hybrid? The Mazda 3 SKyactive gets ~ 40 MPG and they are fun to drive. What about a Cruze eco? I believe they have some solid lease deals right now.
