I'm wanting to tint my windows and I'm wondering what is the law right now. But I have heard from a few people an a cop his self. That Virginia might pass the law where there won't be any window tint law or a front tag law. How true is this. Thanks Jimmy.

Iv never heard about them passing a law like that... I got a tint ticket a month or 2 ago. Mine measured 4% lol. I'm just going to pay it. But it is a misdemeanor if the tint is below 20%, I had no idea till my co worker told me...

Last i heard the front windows can't be darker then 50% which is retarded. However supposedly if u have a truck/suv you are allowed to have it darker. I have had dark tint over the years and got a ticket for it once even though i was pulled over for some other bs

Look what I found. Last year they passed the law where VA can be 35% all the way around but the front window here is the link.

Nice..so now my tint is legal, all they need to do is get rid of the stupid front plate law and i will be happy

What does 35% look like are camaro's Yes I would like to see them pass the front tag law also..

I believe ive heard that its 35 in va as well as NC however i know a few people with darker tint and they never get tickets.
