need advice on buying car So my vehicle was totalled, i bought it back and had a local shop fixing it for me. while it was there i watched the movie hit and run and instantly fell in love with that continetal....ANYWAY long story short when i went to pick up my car i noticed a car sitting in the corner that i didnt notice before, i asked the mechanic if it was his and if he was selling it, yes and yes.
It is a 64 linc continental with 57k original miles. body is in EXCELLENT shape, one small ding on the pass rear Qpanel not bad at all. interior looks BRAND NEW, power windows etc etc he said he rebuilt the motor about 1k miles ago, turned it on and ran smooth no knocks or anything. it is champagne with tan interior. hes asking 8500. you guys think i should hop on this or let it go? also if i do buy it would it really bring the value down if i repaint it in black??? thanks for the help guys

yeai looked at it again today, there is 0 rust that i can see everything looks great. and i think as far as painting goes like the one poster said if i get a good enough job done and try to resell it i dont think anyone would mind a nice paint job...i will keep you guys updated with pictures if i end up getting it
