Going to the Super Chevy Show this weekend

Title says it. I am new to racing cars but not to fixing them. I have a 02 Z28 close to stock that I plan on running in the DOT class at the show. I have never done any drag racing and figure why not jump right into it? I am sure to lose as I have limited knowledge on bracket racing, let alone ability. I am headed out to buy a helmet today. Any suggestions? Any tips on making this a painless weekend? I have read the stickies on the site and even called the track. I don't think I'll have any trouble with tech inspect. Anyone else making it out to the show this weekend?

I just bought a G-Force 3023LRGBK helmet on Amazon. Love that Amazon Prime, overnight shipping for $3.99. Have to give the car a once over before we head out Friday.

Its a great race, I've gone there for many years. Just have fun and enjoy racing, if you're lucky you'll get some slow cars that you can learn against!
