Never touched one of those but the advise I can give is don't slack on it... That stuff is critical on all the 450 machines.

Looks like a week from this Sunday, first weekend in November we are going in Ellington... Anyone that wants to come pm me for a time and address.

anyone have recommendations on getting carbs rebuilt? Not really my strong suit, my 08 arctic cat 400 4x4 won't idle and is spittin out gas like a **** (air filter was covered). It had sat for a while, tried some carb cleaner, but no change.

Been to the dealer once and got tagged with a few things i didn't really need and barked my bill up another 150.

I've been itching to ride lately, but I need to get this thing reliable again.

feel free to send me a text, I can give you my email I don't get on here too much because I always end up spending money.

Thanks,
Sam

buy a rebuild kit for it.... ebay has every damn part I've ever looked for usually cheap too. I'd just get one of those deals, take the thing apart, go thru it, clean every single part as good as possible and see what that gets you before bringing it anywhere.

before anything drain the carb/float from the bottom let some fuel run through just to make sure there is no water, sludge or junk in there and see how it runs

I'll take a look around, having a hard time finding any info on this carb. Seems a little different then your run of the mill carb like on a snowblower. If I take it apart and it won't get back together, theyll show me the door haha.

Already tried that, runs fine with some throttle, can't understand why its spitting out so much gas! too much god damn ethanol in pump gas, plus this arctic cat's been a POS since I bought it. my uncles was bullet proof, I just grabbed a **** year.

most likely your slow jet is clogged. the way I clean them is use a small wire or sometime break small bristles off a wire brush and use them with pliers.

Looks like next weekend I'm going down to jersey to swap my 450Er for a built up banshee... The Sunday after thanksgiving we already planning on going, unless its really snowing or like sub zero temps... We're going in Ellington area, plan accordingly!
