the time, putting your RMs on edge along with their GFs. I'm sure feeling
will be hurt if you come home one night and one of your RM has your GF

I was in the exact same situation a few years back. We had a 3 bedroom condo. My buddy and his gf were in one room, I had a room and another friend was in the last room.

My friend and his gf wanted us to split the rent 3 ways. I thought it would be fair to split it in 4. I mean, we were all working and earning money, so why shouldn't we all pay?

They should pay as much as me because they share a room? She was using the space like the rest of us, the hot water, the annoying 45 minute showers in the morning. Not to mention, she wasn't the cleanest person either. I figured, if I have to put up with another person in the house, I think they should have to contribute something.

I ended up moving out over it. They ended up having to cover the extra rent, which ended up costing them more than splitting in 4 to begin with. Complete B.S that could have been avoided if they just had a bit more common sense.

 

we ended up doing $550 for our room and my roommates pay $375 a month for there rooms and we split utilities 4 ways. Everyone is happy and she is moving in Wednesday.

lol to the guy who would be worried about there buddies banging ur gf. If you have any self-confidence that is something you would not worry about. Esp from one of your best friends.

why not let your girl and the guys 'work it out' amongst themselves? One time I was rooming with LS1LT1 and we argued about rent. Then I agreed to lower his portion of it as long as he gave me a 'ride' if you know what I'm saying.

I think rent should be split by ROOM. Regardless of how many people reside in the room.

If it's three bedroom, for $1300, I think the person or persons, in the master bedroom should pay $550, and smaller rooms pay $375. So it sounds like you guys nailed it. Utilities should be split evenly between all residents.

Lol self confidence? Okay... Just don't be surprised if it actually ends up happening. Especially with best friends. Girls will be girls. All the self confidence in the world will not stop her from doing what she wants to do.
