Default PA inspection question

I need to get my ta inspected, but went out today and I have an SES light on. Of course this happens right before inspection has never been on before.

Question is, if I have under 5,000 miles on the car for the year, do they have to hook the odb2 up to it? If they don't maybe I can find a local guy in Delaware or Chester county who can help me out.

Hi, no the garage shouldn't have to hook that up, I live in north western Pa, and keep my 02 SS under 5000 miles a year which keeps it emissions exempt at least in my county. I haven't had any troubles getting it inspected, its cat less, cammed etc. I would think they would work with you and inspect it with a engine light on and figure out what the issue is with that code.

I'm in eastern pa and have 5 f-body's that are cammed and cat less. keep them under 5k and have no problem as they just check mileage and slap a new exempt sticker on.
