LS swapped Foxbody in MD and the DMV?

LS swapped Foxbody in MD and the DMV? Maryland emissions testing is confusing the crap out of me. Is it a once and done thing for cars older than 25yrs? I should probably only mess with stuff from 1975 or older but the sloppy Fairmont are calling my name.
