Tinted Windows NY

My inspection is coming up. Anyone having any problems getting inspection with there windows tinted?

My friend just recently bought a 2001 TA and the repair shop he goes to made him remove his front window tint to pass inspection. This was in the Rochester NY area.

Only exception is if you have a note from eye doctor proving you need tints.
I'm not sure if there's a percentage too. Doubt 5% would pass.

I wouldn't want 5 % anyways. My front windows on my ford escape are 35% to match the back and rear windows. You can still see in my car no problem. The 70% that they allow looks the same as no tint.

Just had the same problem with my tbss that has factory matching front windows. Going to try and take it to some no name gas station to try to get it inspected

I had my tint removed from the tint place since it was free. I asked if I could use any kind of tint and he told me my stock 2016 escape windows when checked with the meter Are already at 76% so anything will fail. It was hot last week and I didn't realize how much the tint helped. Never had my car in the heat without the tint until now .
