Question Can you use 6.0 rods in a 5.3

I was wondering if you can use LQ9 Rods & Pistons in a L33?

From what I see the l33 is a 5.3L with a 3.78" bore and the lq9 has a 4" bore so the answer is no.

I though lq4 were the same and the lq9s were different because of the wrist pin

04 lq9 pistons are floating pin. Previous ls rods are not. You CAN use a floating pin piston on a pressed pin rod but you cannot use a press pin piston on a floating pin rod.

so to the op lq9 piston wont work in the l33 because the bores to small and the lq9 rods won't work with stock piston unless he gets custom floating pin pistons because of the l33 being pressed. is that correct?

L33 should be floating pin.
Again...you can use a floating pin piston on a pressed pin rod but you cannot use a pressed pin piston on a floating pin rod.
