Hey fellas.
Been a minute. I hate that the meet ups haven't been crazy successful. But that's life. We are all busy and as it is apparent, aging as well.
Hopefully many of us have been able to hold on to our toys and even if not, could regroup at a sooner than later date with some cool stories and share our passions like way back when it was a bit easier to do so.
I still have my ws6. Recently though on a short ride as they have been hard to come by, I returned with a terrible noise. A knock.
Yup, my heart sank to my *******.
Mmmmea i dropped it out and found that the #3 rod bearing spun.Hurt the crank. Junk throughout...
Nothing else looks hurt at all. so weird.
This was a build from about 20 years ago. Was a very strong engine. Although i feel like it it should've been good much longer, I'm told it may have been my fault by letting it sit.
Welp, I guess its time to do it again!
LS3 416 bigger procharger?? Better T56? Better rear than i choose 20 years ago?
Why? oh why didn't i go 9" instead of that 12 bolt?
Hmmmm.
Insert stack of cash with wings...

Maybe spring '26 we can get it together.

I miss the meetups too! Would love to get together next year! Sorry to hear about your spun rod bearing. So many choices for LS power train today! Why the shame of the 12 bolt? I lean that way because of being more "pure" GM.
Still have my car too

What did you meant by letting it sit?

That is a drag. Sounds like fixing the engine is the most urgent thing on the list.

It would be great to have a meetup, and hear and see what's been done on some local 4th gens. The shows locally don't scratch the itch, they appeal to a different demographic.
