Need your guys opinons on some stuff
Need your guys opinons on some stuff Well im gonna be gettin a pretty hefty tax return check and i know that if i put it in the bank its gonna get spent on stupid crap So i wanna put together a list of parts that i should buy as soon as the check comes in.
Now i know this isnt exactly the carbed small block message board but i know that you guys really know your **** when it comes to building engines.
Heres whats i was thinking about
3.73 or 4.10 gears i've got 3.23's right now. and i do a decent amount of highway driving.
Posi or a Spool. I know the spool is more meant for racing but whats the disadvanteges to running one of these on the street. Cause it is a lot chaper then an eaton posi unit.
Roller rockers. I dont know what the factory ratio is. ive got a 74 350 and im 90% sure they were never changed. probably still the same ratio as factory. I woudl also like your suggestions on what ration i should get.
Carb. Im prolly looking to get a holley 650 DP but if you guys have any other suggestions i would love to hear them.
and no Swapping in an LS-1 is not an option right now. thought somewhere down the road that may be a possibility.
