Yeah, A4's-A3's have a decided advantage in bracket racing in my opinion. With that said, my last two runs with my "M6" were 11.70 then 11.72. I feel the car has like 11.3-4 in it though with a little more suspension work. Skill as stated is needed obviously but much less is needed with a automatic shifted car. I can relate that to my 94 Z28 which had an A4. If the suspension is dialed in a M6 can be consistent but on most of our check books it seems like something is always needing to be better. Like I said line em up & let the quicker car win -Fred

Bracket racing and heads up are two different types of events for two different types of people.

Yeah, guess you're right, Joe, but there still has to be a set of rules to go by...Like having no electronics or throttle stops in brackets--footbrake racing only. That's the rules of our CMDR club. There's all kinds of cars--from 16 sec. cars, to 6 sec. cars. So it has to be brackets for us to have a fair winner--and no, the slow automatic cars don't always win our club races...Actually, they hardly EVER win. The guys that can cut down the tree, the guys that really know their cars from plenty of seat time, and the guys that know what number to write on their window run after run, and the guys that know what to do to their cars tune-up w/quick weather changes--They are the guys that win. Heads up class racing is great. But for it to be FAIR, it has to be apples for apples--just like PurEvl said.... WJ

I think bracket racing and heads up racing is as equal as auto-x racing is to drag racing.

People think differently.
Cars are built differently.
Different rules.
