Rim question

While on the way to work yesterday morning, I swerved to avoid one pothole & hit another pothole that I did not see.

It ended up ruining 2 of my rims & one tire.

I've been on ebay looking at rims & I kinda like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...948565354&rd=1

My question will the extra .5" rim width make the current tire size on the car (stock tire size for 17x9 rims), small enough to make my speedo read faster than I'm going or will I notice no speedo change?

your stock tires will fit no problem and everything will work as normal

If your going to buy I would atleast get 10.5" wide rears so you can run 315 tires.And I can fix any speedo problems with tuning anyways.

I agree with that! Also I thought you bought a winter beater park that thing! lol

What we discussed Saturday is still ago BTW.
This rim issue isn't hampering me, just bummin' me out bit being I gotta spend some unexpected cash now.

So I see allot of ads mentioning rim offsett.
What's the stock offset for a 17" rim, what offset should I get with 10.5's & what tire size is needed for 10.5 rims?

I do have a beater, & I also bought my old 89 Daytona back as of last Friday, (sold it for $5K 11 months ago, bought back for $1750 & already have a sale pending for $3700!) but when roads are dry, I drive my car.
