Hit 1000 miles on my strange 12 bolt.I have the LPW cover.Strange told me to take it off & clean out the inside and remove any metal shavings.When I put the cover back on do I use rtv sealer or do I have to buy a gasket ?

Let the RTV set or its gonna leak. I'd use copper RTV also if you choose not to use a real gasket. Be sure not to get any into the pumpkin.

Or he could use an anerobic sealer.

Strange or lpw should be shot.The *ssholes put the white loctite on the fill plug.I had to put a 6 inch X 1/2in piece of brass pipe on the end of my allen key & use it as a breaker bar to loosen the plug.Anyway I got done.I'am letting it sit for 24 hours & I put cardboard under there to leak check.
