So happy with my choice!!!
we went yesterday, and one kid with us had a 450 stock (over $9k) and one kid had a hopped up 450 and between the two of them, they got stuck and got off there bikes more then Tim who has NEVER ridded on his 250! lol
one kid went with us was about 300 pounds, when we got back, he was about 150 and his back was hurtin!! the other kid was about 120 pounds, well needless to say after the workout he got without revers, we lost him.
the bikes where nasty, but no way a trail machine.
The 400 went very well, and i think i had to back up almost as much as i went forward. lots of snow, and ice, and hard riding! but a great time.
Thanks to Ken and Denise, hospitality was outstanding as usual!

i was thinking about it!!!! No joke. haha
The mods already started, i talked to Paul today and ordered a polished front bumper, polished nerf bars, and a rear swing arm cover.
nexts its a polished rear bumper, full skid plate, and a polished muffler. its not a loud one, its accualy adjustable. but it passes all the noise codes ect ect.
should look good.
i wont be doing that for a while if at all. right now im going to make it look a little diferent, then work on a little tweaking.

If I were gonna buy a new one, I'd look into that yamaha raptor, or that new 700 twin that kawasaki makes. Reverse is for the weak man, if you want a fast one, you'll have to skip out on the reverse..... I personally never had a use for it.. just don't stop... that's how ya get stuck.. go 40+ mph all the time, it's more fun that way
i didnt care for the raptor much, i rode one last season and it was fun, but a little to tall and narow. the 400 for me is perfect. its priced right with all good parts, looks good, rides great. im very happy with it.
revers isnt for the weak man, its for the smart man. lol
Also, make sure you use that synthetic ATV motor oil too, spectro gold or Honda stuff, it really does help engine and clutch life.
the bike i just got has full adjustable shocks ect front and rear. its a perfect setup for what i do. no way will i rip it apart till i have to.
the exhuast you said. is it loud? i dont want it much louder then it is. it attracts to much attention and riding in illegal spots you dont want that. lol
Comp would do it im sure. ESP 1 cam. lol
i like the way the Suzuki/Yhoshima or what ever it is. its that company that makes the suzuki aftermarket stuff.
it has a removable baffle, so i can control it a little also. think thats what im going to get.
And here is my Alba Edition Banshee with all the usual boltons.
The Banshee is a toy compared to the Honda R.

1) the front tires wouldn't stay on the ground, even with a 6 inch extended rear swing arm.
2) the rear tires had to be screwed to the rim, the wheel spin speeds were so much that the tires would actually expand to the point where they would leak air at the beads.
3) You could easily go way faster than you ever had room to stop in.
4) Fuel comsumption was an issue.. it only had like a 3 gallon gas tank, nad it would go thru that in about 2 hours or less, so you could never go too far.
5) The gearing was so tall, that first 2nd and 3rd gear were all I ever used.. tehre wasn't enough room to put a tall enough rear sproket to use all the gears, not to mention that with a taller rear sproket, the wheelstands, which were already a problem, would have been a uncontrollable problem.
6) did I mention that I got clocked by a cop going over 120 mph across a hayfield.. and still had 2 more gears to go... but had to slow down because I was running out of field real quick.
150hp + atv = lots of fun, but not for the weak of heart.
im happy with mine. fast, fun, reliable ect ect.
wheelie machine. i pulled it up in 2nd, ran it all the way threw 3rd, and probably could have gotten 4th! ran out of room tho.
great times. i can see a clutch in my future. lol
