belt problem with asp pulley????? i recently installed a asp pulley.... i read before that ls1s are notorious for having the tensioner cause a problem with this belt.....in the case of my car since i installed the pulley whenever i race my car the belt comes off track and comes half off the tensioner and the power steering pulleys.... its on the right track still on the crank pulley.... do i need a new tensioner??? let me know guys thanks
OK so if I get a under drive pulley do I need a new tensioner or am I OK considering how new mine is.....just trying to grasp whether this is a worn out tensioner issue or if it's just the need for an aftermarket one.
Sounds like he has more of a belt walking problem than a tensioner problem. I think alot of the people that buy the Katech tensioners are having their belts walk instead of jump. Thunder Racing sells a tesioner pulley with a lip on it that stops the belt walk. Call and ask for the Larry pulley, they are about half the price of a new tensioner.
