Go to go home from work up here in Wilmington this evening (about an hour ago) and after having a half way decent day, guess what decides to happen. Car won't start

Since I just got done with college and I have been saving my money for something fun FOR ONCE, this isn't cool. I was hoping to make this car last at least through the summer without major issues or problems, well, guess that won't happen. Anywho, anyone have any ideas or suggestions. 2000 Chevy Malibu (handme down from the rents) 98k miles on it, battery was cranking the starter no problems, gave it a couple good shots, even checked to make sure it wasn't froze up (it's like 25 degrees out right now), tapped the gas tank gently incase the fuel pump decided to freeze up, but I don't think it did because it sounded like it charged the line. So, I'm guessing either a coil pack or alt? I suspect it didn't have enough $#!% to set off the charge. Don't know what i'm going to do if this car needs major work since I drive about 120 miles a day round trip, I have to have something reliable. Ugh. I'll be here @ work for a while until my dad picks me up...feel free to IM me, I'm probably on... FightinBlu51
